Overview
MEPScore compiles activity counts and metadata primarily from published European Parliament records and Parltrack. Some displayed figures are calculated by MEPScore from those records; their definitions and limitations are described below.

Using the data
The data is free to use. If you build on it, cite the site: references help it grow and keep it free.
How to cite: MEPScore, mepscore.eu, accessed [date]. For a specific figure, add the Member’s profile URL. The underlying records belong to the European Parliament; cite the Parliament’s own publications for legal or academic use.
Limitations
Activity counts measure recorded output, not policy impact or the quality of the work. Records can be delayed, incomplete, or revised. Always interpret the data as a quantitative reference rather than a qualitative evaluation.

Privacy & analytics
Analytics are opt-in: with your consent, the site uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand which data people use — no advertising, no sale of data. Nothing loads and no analytics cookie is set until you click “Allow analytics” in the consent banner (consent signals default to denied). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the button below; after a reset, the banner is shown again on the next page view.
Google (Google Analytics 4) and Microsoft (Clarity) process the analytics data as our processors and may transfer it to servers in the United States; both participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and use EU standard contractual clauses for such transfers. Analytics data is kept for a limited period only: GA4 event data for at most 14 months and Clarity session recordings for at most 30 days (aggregated Clarity statistics up to 13 months), after which it is deleted automatically.
Standard server access logs (nginx) record IP addresses as part of normal web server operation, are used for traffic statistics and security, and are not used for profiling.
The newsletter sign-up stores your e-mail address, with your consent, for one purpose: a monthly digest of new data and site features. Sign-up is double opt-in: we send one confirmation e-mail, and you only start receiving the digest after you click to confirm. Confirmation and digest e-mails are sent through Amazon SES (our e-mail provider, acting as a processor) and each carries a one-click unsubscribe link that removes your address immediately; you can also ask us to remove it at any time.
